As editor of the Murray, Nebraska website, I'd like to say, 'Welcome' to our corner of the world! I'm Patricia, (Pat), Zeigler and Nebraska has been home to me nearly my whole life. I love it here! Lincoln is the city of my birth, moving to Nehawka when I was 7, then to Plattsmouth during junior high. Guam was my home for a short time, then back to Plattsmouth. I've been a Murray resident since the mid-70's. Mike and I were married in '83 and have four children and two grandchildren. Three of the kids and one grandchild are out-of-state, but we're fortunate to have one child and grandchild still here in Murray. An assorted work history comes with me... a paint store clerk, elementary school aide, shipping and receiving clerk, data transcriber and payroll clerk. All of those occupations took me away from home during the daytime until I opened my own in-home child care business in '93 which I enjoyed for 10 years. Helping with school activities when our kids were young kept me quite busy. In the 70's, I started the first Brownie Girl Scout troop in Murray that is still going strong. For a short time, I sat on the Murray Community Improvement Committee. Organizing the village Garage Sales has been an annual undertaking for me since about 1996. I'm the owner and a co-moderator of the FreeCycleMurray.org group which is dedicated to recycling good, reusable items, for the sake of keeping our earth clean and green. My hobbies are varied, but most of all, I enjoy attending and supporting my grandson's activities and being with my family and friends.
