VILLAGE OF MURRAY, NEBRASKA

June 11, 2013

The Murray, Nebraska Board of Trustees met in regular session on Tuesday, June 11, 2013, at 7:00 pm in the Murray Municipal Building. Present: Trustees: Mike Gillott, George Blessing Debbie Newhouse, Bill Johnson, Shelley Lesac; Village Clerk Eileen Murdoch; attending: guests.

Notice of the meeting was given in advance thereof by posting in (3) three public places as shown by the certificate attached to these minutes. Notice of the meeting was simultaneously given to the Chairperson and all members of the Board of Trustees. Their acknowledgement of receipt of notice and agenda is attached to these minutes. All proceedings thereafter were taken while the convened meeting was open to the attendance of the public.

Chairperson Lesac called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM and informed the audience of the location of the open meetings act poster.

Motion by Newhouse, seconded by Johnson to approve the minutes of the May 14, 2013, regular meeting; ayes: Johnson, Newhouse, Blessing, Gillott, Lesac; motion carried.

Motion by Johnson, seconded by Newhouse to acknowledge receipt of the Treasurer's report; ayes: Johnson, Newhouse, Blessing, Gillott, Lesac; motion carried.

Motion by Blessing, seconded by Newhouse to approve claims as revised; ayes: Johnson, Newhouse, Blessing, Gillott, Lesac; motion carried.

Maintenance Report.

Dawn Vlcek, request for street dance and special designated liquor license, for July 6th, 2013 between Main and Campbell Street. Motion by Johnson seconded by Newhouse to approve the street dance for July 6th, 2013; ayes: Johnson, Newhouse, Blessing, Gillott, Lesac; motion carried. Motion by Blessing, seconded by Johnson to approve the special designated liquor license for the street dance; ayes: Johnson, Newhouse, Blessing, Gillott, Lesac; motion carried.

Chairperson Lesac introduced and read by title Ordinance #536 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 94, SECTION 94.07 OF TITLE IX OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE VILLAGE OF MURRAY, NEBRASKA; TO PROVIDE FOR THE REPEAL OF CONFLICTING ORDINANCES OR SECTIONS; AND TO PROVIDE FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE – Section 94.07 of Chapter 94, entitled "Fowl Prohibited" is amended." Trustee Johnson motioned seconded by Trustee Newhouse to suspend the three required statutory readings of Ordinance #536; ayes: Johnson, Newhouse, Blessing, Gillott, Lesac; motion carried. Motion by Johnson, seconded by Newhouse to adopt, post and publish in pamphlet form Ordinance #536; ayes: Johnson, Newhouse, Blessing, Gillott, Lesac; motion carried.

Adopt Village of Murray Policy Statement Section 502 – Rehabilitation Act of 1973, Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. Motion by Newhouse, seconded by Johnson to adopt the Village of Murray Policy Statement Section 502; ayes: Johnson, Newhouse, Blessing, Gillott, Lesac; motion carried.

Motion by Johnson, seconded by Blessing to adjourn the meeting at 7:26 PM; ayes: Johnson Newhouse, Blessing, Gillott, Lesac; motion carried.

I, the undersigned Village Clerk of the Village of Murray, Nebraska, hereby certify that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of proceedings had and done by the Chairperson and the Board of Trustees of the Village of Murray to the best of my knowledge; that the agenda was kept continually current and available for public inspection at the office of the Village Clerk; that the minutes were in written form and available for public inspection within (10) working days and prior to the next convened meeting of said body; the minutes are published in summary form, upon request a complete copy is available at the Village Office.
