Plattsmouth Adult Education
Adds Job Skills and New Class Times

Plattsmouth Community School District Adult Education begins its 40th year with a new focus on College and Career Readiness. The Federal Government has charged all adult education programs with preparing students for college and the workplace. Plattsmouth is stepping up. PCSD will integrate job search, workplace skills, and college preparation into its GED, English language, and Adult Basic Education courses.

To meet this challenge, an additional class session is being offered on Thursday mornings.
Classes are offered Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday during the public school year at 9:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., at the PACE Center, 15508 2nd Ave. The PACE Center is located across from the high school to the west.

Please call Tallie VanWesten, program director, at 402-296-3174 Ext. 2315 for information.

New students may begin during any class period by arriving a few minutes early. You will be very welcome.

Jean Perkins: Lead role, a pretty but ordinary woman, age 40-60
Betty Johnson: Large role, a buxom (according to the script) and cheerful woman, age 40-60

Henry Perkins: An insignificant man, age 40-60
Vic Johnson: Large role, a brash man, age 40-60
Bill: Medium role, Taxi Driver, age 25-50
Detective Davenport: Medium role, age 40-65

A Passer-By: Small role, a large man age 40-60

Henry Perkins, a mild-mannered C.P.A., accidentally picks up the wrong briefcase. Finding it filled with assumed illicit cash, he rushes home to grab his wife and buy a one-way ticket to Barcelona. However, the police soon arrive, as does a detective thinking that Henry is dead. The high-energy fall farce is here and it's "Funny Money!"

The Verdeen cousins (Gaynelle, Peaches and Jimmie Wyvette) could not have picked a worse time to schedule their family reunion. They face an uphill battle on the hottest day in July, smack-dab in the middle of Texas tornado season. Soon a parade of wildly eccentric Verdeen's descend upon their southern town and things spin hilariously out of control. You will wish your own family reunions were this much fun!

This production runs for seven dates over the course of two weekends. Be sure to make your reservations and don't miss this family-friendly hootenanny!

Greenblatt & Seay proudly announce the 20th ANNUAL SCHOOLHOUSE FIDDLING BEE. There will also be other divisions of competition available for the adventurous fiddlers, including a Singing Fiddler's Contest, a Twin Fiddler's Contest, a Fee-Fi-Faux Fiddler's Contest (fiddle tunes played on any instrument other than a fiddle), and a Hocus-Pocus Contest (cross-tuning, sound effects, dancing, etc.), which will give fiddlers an opportunity to play tunes that are usually not allowed in any other contest.
