TO ALL MURRAY RESIDENTS

BURN SITE RULES AND REGULATIONS

In light of our recent clean-up of the Murray Burn Site, which was required by the Nebraska Department of Environmental Quality (NDEQ), there are some new rules and regulations that all residents should be aware of. These will be strictly enforced.

1. The only items that may go onto the burn pile are tree limbs and untreated lumber. These are the only items that are burnable under our burn permit from the NDEQ.

2. All yard and garden waste will go in a separate pile at the site to be composted by an outside vendor.

3. No other materials of any kind shall be permitted.

The Site will be monitored by a camera 24 hours/day, 7 days a week. Any violation of the above rules will result in a first time fine of $150.00; any subsequent violations will be $300.00 per violation.

The Village Board appreciates your cooperation in this matter.
