The Murray, Nebraska Board of Trustees met in regular session on Tuesday, February 14, 2017, at 7:00 pm in the Murray Municipal Building. Present: Trustees: Mike Gillott, Brian Coffman, Stan Flak, George Blessing, Alan Miller; Village Clerk Eileen Murdoch; attending: guests.

Notice of the meeting was given in advance thereof by posting in (3) three public places as shown by the certificate attached to these minutes. Notice of the meeting was simultaneously given to the Chairman and all members of the Board of Trustees. Their acknowledgement of receipt of notice and agenda is attached to these minutes. All proceedings thereafter were taken while the convened meeting was open to the attendance of the public.

Chairman Gillott called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM and informed the audience of the location of the open meetings act poster.

Pro- Tem Flak called the reorganization of the board to order at 7:25 PM. Flak said first is the Oath of Office for Trustee Blessing and Trustee Coffman. Oath was read by Blessing and Coffman simultaneously. Pro-tem Flak then moved to the first order of business at 7:30 PM, Trustee Miller nominated Mike Gillott for Chairman; Flak nominated George Blessing, Aye votes for Gillott: Gillott, Miller, Coffman; Aye votes for Blessing: Blessing, Flak; Gillott is new Board Chairman. Pro-tem Flak opened the nominations for Pro-Tem, Gillott nominated Coffman; Blessing nominated Flak. Aye votes for Coffman: Gillott, Miller, Coffman; Aye votes for Flak: Flak, Blessing; Coffman is the new board Pro-tem.

Motion by Miller, seconded by Flak for the following appointments for 2017, Larry Morton, attorney; Eileen Murdoch, clerk/treasurer; JEO, Village Engineer; Street Superintendent – Steven Parr of JEO; Open - animal control officer; ayes: Blessing, Gillott, Flak, Miller, Coffman; motion carried.
